As a result of great suggestions, we have improved some of the sorting features for your filter results. Below is a summary of the changes:

  • Click on the Symbol column header to sort based on the symbol.
  • The default sort is ascending price-based.
  • You can now set the initial sorting method from your filter text by using the phrase sort column X ascending/descending. For example:

    Fetcher[show stocks where the MA(10) crossed above the MA(100)
    and sort column 3 descending
    ]

    Fetcher[show stocks where the RSI(14) is below 30
    and add column RSI(14)
    and sort column 5 ascending
    ]

    The column numbers are accessed beginning from 1. So, column #1 is the symbol; #2 is last price; etc. The first user-defined column will be #5.

    Please let us know if you have any questions or comments about these new features!

    Thank you,

    To follow-up on the sorting feature, it is now possible to set your favorite sorted column and direction through your user settings. To access this option:

    1. Click on the Settings link below and to the right of the main StockFetcher logo.

    2. Select the Results sub-option.

    3. The third setting on the results page contains a list of preset columns and directions for your sort. Simply select the column and direction you want as your default sort.

    4. Click Save to record your changes.

    Please let us know if you have any questions or comments about this new feature.
